Welcome to Year 5

We are looking forward to starting our journey into Upper Key Stage Two with you and the new learning, opportunities and experiences you will enjoy. 

Our vocational statement is God made us all and called us to love and serve Him. We will think about the responsibilities we are given at school, home and within our community and how through our actions, we can show our service to God. We will be guided by the example of our class saint Pope John Paul II whose example teaches us other importance of being peace makers and spreading God's word through our actions. 

We provide an opportunity for the children in all year groups to access a broad and balanced 'Discovery Learning' curriculum. Children have an input on their learning and teachers ensure the skills and progression are in place, building upon the knowledge of previous years. Part of our curriculum will involve trips or visitors to enrich the children's learning; supporting the children to become immersed in their learning, helping them to know more and remember more.
