Welcome
Welcome from our Headteacher
As the Head Teacher of St Augustine’s Catholic Primary School, it is a real honour and privilege to welcome you to our school website. Governors, staff, parents, members of the parish and pupils all make St Augustine’s the outstanding school it is today.
Why Choose Us?
We love
At St Augustine’s we emphasise the importance of fostering a caring and supportive environment where everyone is valued and treated with kindness and respect, guided by their relationship with Jesus. We are proud of the friendships that children develop when they are at school and how they show a love for one another.
We Learn
When children join St Augustine’s, staff are committed to supporting the children both spiritually and academically. We nurture the children’s personal growth and encourage a lifelong love of learning through quality first teaching. By working together, children have an understanding of community and teamwork, leading to children making very good progress.
Our Parish
As a Catholic Primary School, we strive to work in partnership with our home and Church. We have strong links with St Augustine’s Church and the Parish Priest or Deacon are regular visitors to our school. The children lead events for Parishioners to enjoy; such as Class Masses, Minnie Vinnies cake sales or the Christmas Carol Service.
Pupils at St Augustine's are growing to be…
Attentive and Discerning
Attentive to their experience and to their vocation; and discerning about the choices they make and the effects of those choices.
Compassionate and Loving
Compassionate towards others, near and far, especially the less fortunate; and loving by their just actions and forgiving words.
Eloquent and Truthful
Eloquent and truthful in what they say of themselves, the relations between people, and the world.

The children tested how many books a rolled up strip of paper can hold and whether changing the diameter of the coil of paper makes a difference.
